The Tai Chi Experienceis a wonderful introduction to the art of Tai Chi. The student wil enjoy several different aspects of Tai Chi during one course. More importantly ... students will leave each class with skills that have the potential to positively impact one's day to day life. The value of Tai Chi lies in the incorporation of its core principles into all the movements taught. Our goal is to enable the student to incorporate these principles into their day to day life NOW... not years down the road. Includes Endless Circle Chi Kung, Wu Chi Tai Chi ( a beginners form ), 5 Step Moving Meditation, Heaven and Earth Partner Exercises, Zhan Zhuang (san jong - standing like a tree) .
Golden Tai Chiwas created to answer very real problems facing us all. As we age we loose our ability to maintain balance, increasing the likelihood of crippling injuries from falls. Golden Tai Chi goes to the heart of the balance problem by incorporating the fundamental principles that are Tai Chi's foundation. It draws upon those essential and elemental Tai Chi movements that have the most profound influence on balance. The Golden Tai Chi Program is based upon results developed by the National Institute on Aging in a report called " The Emory Study " and taught to hundreds of students.

Chi Kung- The goal of this class is the cultivation of balance. This includes the physical aspects, as well as mental. Various traditional ancient Chinese exercises are used to help the student address acute problems, as well as a means to avoid the potential development of various negative conditions.
Traditional Yang Style 37 Movement Form:
A traditional sequence of ancient Chinese exercises referred to as
the Form. Special attention is placed on proper physical alignment which is the basis for the development of all future internal arts. This program has three levels. As the student moves through these levels they begin to incorporate more and more of the core principles of Tai Chi. It is through this continued development and the incorporation of these qualative principles into the form, that the real value of Tai Chi Takes place. The program includes Form, Chi Kung, Zhan Zhuang, Push Hands, Principles of Tai Chi and Applications. Successful completion of the Tai Chi Experience Program, or demonstrable prior Tai Chi experience is a prerequisite for this program.
Zhan Zhuang ( San Jong, stand like a tree):Standing is central to internal, physical and mental development within the internal arts. During this class the student will learn various aspects of standing including positions, meditaion, visualization and breathing. Each class will include a minimum of 30 minutes of uninterupted standing.
The Principles of Tai Chi: This class helps the student in the never ending goal of incorporating the core principles of Tai Chi into their daily practice and lives. Principes such as root, suspension, opening, closing, meditation, visualization, the constant transfirmation from Yin to Yang Energy ( Flow ), breathing
.. Each week a particular principle is examined and applied to various moves in and out of the form. Completion of the Tai Chi Experience program and approval of the head instructor, is a prerequisite for this program.

Push Hands:Participants in this class learn a series of solo and
partner drills designed to improve the sensitivity and reaction between two people. These drills also help to enforce all the principles being taught in various aspects of Tai Chi training. Basic drills are covered in the Tai Chi Experience program and more advanced push hands training takes place in all 3 levels of the Traditional Yang Style Course.
Tai Chi Applications: In this class the student will learn the potential martial and self defense applications of various movements and transitions within the Tai Chi form. Through this class an increasing awareness of proper physical alignment
will continue to develop, as will a greater understanding of the core principles of Tai Chi.
